The National Biodiesel Board says that operations across the country are running their buses on the fuel and are seeing a reduction in operating costs, strong fuel performance and environmental benefits.
The manufacturers merge their Type A bus products and distribution into one entity, dubbed Micro Bird Inc.
The company won a bid to manufacture 800 to 900 school buses for the state. The CE Series buses will be delivered next spring through IC’s North Carolina dealer, White’s International Trucks.
The company backs U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood’s proposal that would restrict cell phone use and ban text messaging for commercial drivers.
